The vessel came via tl Panama Canal, and touched at Ne wpoß News. The trip was uneventful, nl there was no sickness aboard. 9 A great crowd on the wharf wel corned the troops and soldiers’ wivefl and the Patriotic Society’s band playeJ j selections. ‘ 1 Only the Wellington and NelsoJ troops left the vessel to-day. The Nell son men left by the Eaitoa this even! ing;. Details for Auckland and district] will leave by special train from Thond don at 12.30 p.m. to-morrow. Those for Palmerston North,. Wanganui, New i Plymouth, Napier and Gisborne will travel by mail tarin, leaving at 8.20 a,m. Napier and Gisborne men win connect with another train at Palmerston, and’ those for stations between Wellington and Longburn will leave at 8 a.m. Picton and Blenheim details will leave by the Mapowrika oi Wednesday at noon. Other South Lsland men will proceed to Lyttelton by the Athcnic, which lea-res at 7 a.m. tomorrow. LOCAL MSN ABiOTE TO-DAY. The Manawatu Patriotic Society have been advised that the troops ex Athenic for Palmerston and district, as well as men between Wellington and New Plymouth, would leave Wellington at 8.30 a.m. to-day. These men - should arrive here about noon. The troops for the Auckland line are expected to pass through Palmerston by the Auckland express about 3.45 p.m., while the Hawke’k Bay men are also expected to pass through here today. Members of the Voluntary Motor Corps arc requested'to be at the station to welcome the Ideal men on thefr arrival.
