SOUTH AFRICAN UNION.
REPUBLICAN PROPAGANDA CONDEMNED. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, August 22. The South African Party Congress has passed a resolution that the matter of re-union be left in the hands of the leaders, on condition that it is based on the vindication of the European races; also strongly condemning republican propaganda, as tending to civil war, and a violation of the word of honour given at the Verecniging Conference. .Congress has decided to combat the propaganda and stand by the Act of Union.
