ORIENT LODGE.
N.G. Bro. Jordon presided over the ordinary meeting of the Orient Lodge, 1.0.0.F.A.C., last evening. A vote of sympathy to P.G. Bro. J. Ax in the loss he has sustained by the death of his mother was passed in silence. The following visitors were present: Grand Warden Bro. hi. Hooper, Auckland, P.G. Bro. Miller, Maori Hill, Dunedin, and P.G. Bro. Grute, N.G. Bro. Lindsay, and Warden Bro. Plavell, from the Kiwitca Lodge, Fcilding. Two candidates were initiated and four members proposed. The Oroua Lodge of Druids are tc be challenged at euchre. £33 was forwarded to grand-master Hunter as a help to him in his affliction of blindness. A social evening was hold after the closing of the Lodge meeting. The following toasts wore honoured: —The King, The Grand Lodge, Sister Lodges, and the Orient Lodge. Songs, music and recitation wore contributed by Bros. Ritter, Mathicson, Griggs and Spencer.
