The W.F.C.A. will hold their annual autumn cattle fair at Pahiatua on Monday. The leading breeders are represented in the entries, which are as usual, considerable and of the best quality cattle. A clearing sale is to be held next Wednesday by the W.F.C. A. at Kaitawa on account of Mr J. Kotlowski. Particulars appear in another column. Dr and Mrs Patterson and family, who have been absent from the Dominion for some time, rteurued to Pahiatua this week. In the event of a second wave of the ’flu, a campaign committee has been formed and temporary arrangements made for an isolation ward at the hospital for urgent cases. Messrs C. E. Daniell and A. D. The past week has been an eventful one for the Roman Catholic community, there having been special ceremonies in connection with the opening of the now Convent School.
