BY-LAW CASES.

E. B. Levy was fined £l, costs 7s, for having no front number attached to his car. On similar charges, Henry Wardell was fined £l, costs 7s; Mason Doric, £l, costs 7s; Ross Walker, costs 7s; John Smith for having no light attached to his cart (thus causing a collision with a motor cycle), £l, costs 7s; Thus. Surry (no roar light on ear), £.l, costs 7s; Herbert True (on a similar charge), £l, costs 12s; John James Stewart was fined the amount of costs, 2s, for having no rear number on his motor cycle. FAILING TO ATTEND DRILL. Frederick Davis was charged with failing to attend drill and also for failing to notify change of address. Fined £5, costs 7s, and 10s and costs 7s respectively. Francis Charles Blackey, on two similar charges, stated that when ho loft Palmerston for Wellington some 14 months ago, time did not permit him to notify the change of oddress. When reaching Wellington, he had also hod some three months ’ illness. He was ordered to pay £3 and costs 7s’ on the first charge, and 10s and costs 7s on the latter. Sergeant Henry stated that despite many warnings accused persisted in making these breaches He had been convicted on five previous occasions for breaches of his order. In inflicting a fine of £3, his Worship remarked that if the accused still persisted in defying the order he would be obliged to sentence him to a period “on the Island. ’ ’ STOCK ON ROADS. Thos. Cribb, Awahuri, who had previously been convicted, w r as fined £2, with costs £1 Bs, for permitting cows and calves to Avander on the Kairanga County Council’s roads.
