ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY SCHOOL.
FOUNDATION STONE LAID. The old Sunday school attached to All Saints’ Church has long been inadequate to cope with the attendance at the school. After much labour on the part of the church workers in the shape of bazaars, jumble sales, etc., to raise money for the purpose, together with contributions and collections, sufficient money was gathered to embark on the project of building the new school. The construction of the building, which is to be built of brick, Las been commenced. and good progress is being made with the work. It is intended to build only part of the school at hrst and later on to add to it. Yesterday morning, the ceremony nt laying of the foundation stone of the n w building took place. At 11 o clock, a short service, which was attended by all the children of the Sunday School, was held in the church. After the service, the foundation stone was laid by (i u . Rev. R. Mr Young, in performing the ceremony, gave a simple and impressive address to (he children, referring to the v. ork which had been done in raising (he money for the building, and to the good achieved by Sunday schools in building up the character of the boys and girls who attended them. •Collections in aid of the Sunday School, taken np during the different services through the day, amounted to over £4O.
