TWO MEN KILLED.

BY PALLING CRANE.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday,

While three men were hoisting coal at the gasworks on Saturday, the crane overturned and fell. Two of the men were on the crane, and one named Mann, jumped clear, but the other, Ferrell, fell with the crane and was killed. The crane jib fell on the third man, Churchill, killing him instantly. Mann, in jumping from the crane., dropped ten feet; he suffered painful injuries, and was taken to the hospital. He is reported to-day to have slightly improved. Mann is married, with a young family. Ferrell was an elderly man with a grown-up family. Churchill was single, with no relatives in the Dominion. his mother living in England.
