HOROWHENUA NOTES.

(Prom Our Own Correi pondent.) EEVIN, April 12. The marriage took place in Levin during the week of Miss Nellie Doyle, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Doyle, of Koputaroa, and Mr E. J. Bond, of Mastcrton, the ceremony being performed by the Eev. F. W. Grove. Mr and Mrs Bond will make their home in Hastings. At a meeting ox the Children’s Day Committee in connection, with the coming peace celebrations it was decided 1o make an endeavour to get the useof the racecourse for the purpose of holding a big children’s sports gathering. A Levin soldier, Quartc-r-inastcr-Sgt, H. G. Price, M.M., is expected to roach the Dominion about April 20. The Levin Golf Club held its annual meeting last evening, Mr C. H. Fyke presiding.
