Heavy showers fell before the Racing Club Handicap, but the going was not seriously affected. R. Reed, the rider of Spanner in the Ferguson Handicap, was fined £lO and cautioned for crossing King Abbey in the straight. B. Deeley ? the rider of Gloaming, was fined £lO for a similar offence. The tote receipts were £(58,936 10/., against £76,945 for the corresponding day, a decrease of £SOOB 10/.
