The annual meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club was held on Friday night, when the following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing term; —President, Mr C. A. J. Worsfold* The Feilding Jockey Club has donated £SOO to the “Copper Trail Fund.” Syva, the winner of the South Canterbury Steeplechase, is a six-year-old gelding by Sylvanite—Jenny Moore. It is said that the starting of Sleight of Hand in the National Hurdles is contingent upon A. McDonald, his usual pilot, being able to rido him. The position at the present time id that McDonald regarded the horse as a runner in the Steeplechase, and ho engaged for ‘Vdorado in the Hurdles. Whether Colorado will be able to start is not known. MANAWATU RACING CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Mannwatu Racing Club will be hold at the Club’s offices on Monday, August 12th, at 8 p.m. The winter now hero in dead earnest, and sportsmen need something warm to keep out the wet and cold.
