Raids on Several Towns [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Monday, 12.15 a.m.) LONDON, July 27. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We raided in the neighbourhood of Sailly Lauretta, Neuvilios, St. Itasso, Arlou and Lens. Wo took several prisoners. Hostile artillery is active between the Somme and the Ancre. There is reciprocal artillery activity in the La Basseo Canal sector. Sir Douglas Haig further reports:— There is hostile artillery activity on the northern portion of the British front. Flying was only possible for a shor# period of the day on the 26th inst., but we brought down , three hostile machines. Two British are missing.
