New Award for Shearers.
(Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, Friday. The compulsory conference between the representatives of the Australian. Workers’ Union and Pastoralists ’ Association of the Commowealth resulted in the signing of -an agreement which gives substantial increases under all headings. The agreement operates from to-day and continues in force until a new award is made. The rates of shearing are fixed at 28s per hundred. The wages of shed bands are advanced to £2 15s, and youths to £2 ss. Other hands and crutching rates are proportionately increased. _____
