'****%> EXTENDED VISIT. < OWING to the exceptionally busy time Mr W. G.S.OX, D.L.0.C., Qualified Opthalmic' Optician and Professor of Optometry, has had during his stay here, he has decided to extend his visit. Mr Bussell is an exceptional man in the, optical field. '' Eyes'' have been his life study. He has been doing no other class of work for oyer 20 years, and has been associated with some of the foremost Eye Specialists and Opticians from England. , There are few men in New Zealand with the same knowledge of the subject. Mr Bussell was once working in conjunction with one of Australia's ophthalmic surgeons. During that time, he devoted the whole of his attention to the study and correction of defective vision in /children. The usual method of testing children is by means of a letter .card, the operator relying on the answer of tho child which is very often misleading. Mr Bussell's method is to sit a child in the chair and at about one yard awsty examine the eyes with a retinascope. By this means he can diagnose the exact condition of the eyes, and prescribe glasses when necessary without asking the child any questions. This unique method of testing the eyes should certainly appeal to parents to have their'children's eyes attended to. Mr Bussell will make no charge for sight testing and will not order glasses unless they are positively required. I personally know that Mr Bussell is a highly qualified and reliable optician, and strongly advise all who have the slightest eye trouble to accept his services while he is here.
