A communique says: There has been fierce fighting in the Dvinsk, Mehurany and Baranovitch regions, the enemy attacking with large forces at many points southward of the Pripet and Galician front. After furious bayonet encounters we occupied Vorobievka north-westward of Tarnopol. POSSIBLY HAPPIER GERMANS. Received a.m. PETROGRAD, Sept. 29. It is reported that the 41st German Army Corps was overtaken by a flood in the Pinsk marshes, and it is believed that nearly all perished.
