A TERRIBLE DISASTER.

At Ardmore, Oklahoma, I a spark from a workman's hammer ignited a. tank car of gasoline, and from the resulting explosion fires raged, laying in ruins two city blocks. Thirty-five bodies have been recovered, and fifty persons are believed to have been crushed to death beneath the fall of walls. A search is proceeding in the-ruins of a large departmental store, where it is feared there are the bodies of many girls and women shoppers and employees at the store. The fires were caused by the flaming gasoline, which thrown for blocks. Martial law was declared arid a panic followed the explosion. on either side of the main street was demolished, and over the splintered buildings for blocks around the flaming gasoline was thrown, starting fires. Scores of rescue parties were quickly formed. All communication with the outside world was cut off for five hours. Two hundred were injured, and are in the hospital.
