The Canadian newspapeTS are unanimously favourable to India's representation in future Imperial Conferences. The Free Press declares that India tas earned the concession even more •by her conduct in peace-time than by 'her loyalty in war time. The Montreal Star considers the Dominions should take particular pains to assure the Imperial Government of their great pleasure in India's representation. Lord Hardinge need not fear the overseas or that their attitude to' Indian immigration ftill cause the Dominions to hesitate a moment.

Indian merchants seek direct Government aid in the development of Indian trade and enterprise to replace Austro-German and counteract the efforts of the Japanese who in the past year have dumped enormous quantities of wares in India, otherwise Indian industrial independence would disappear.
