SICK AND WOUNDED CONCERT.
The ladies responsible for the promotion of the entertainment to-mor-row evening will be glad if all the lady members of the audience will bring their knitting with them. The proceeds are to assist the Patriotic Fair at the Show, and it may be as well to state that Mr E. Short, the President of the A. and P. Association, is giving four special war prizes for the best hand-knitted pair of sox and best-knitted Balaclava in two sections, viz., adults and girls under 16. All the ladies are knitting more or less, and should endeavour to score in this. It must be remembered that every entry made in the Show assists the funds, so ladies bring your knitting, and be amused while you are doing it. Preparations are well forward, and the supper and sweets committee will be quite ready to exchange their commodities for the travelling sixpences.
