ORPHEUS SOCIETY
THIS EVENING'S CtINCEET. Under the conductorship of Mr M. Cohen, Palmerston Orpheus Society have arranged an 'excellent programme for their concert in the Opera House this evening. Despite the >fkct that a dozen members of the Society are either serving at the front or about to lfeave with the next expeditionary force, the Society has still twenty-six active members who have beep practising regularly under the direction of Mr Cohen since June last. They have now reached a high state of perfection, so that a treat is in store for the public this evening. The Society is also fortunate in the ehoice of artists, having secured the services of Miss Caldow, who is no stranger to New Zealand audiences, also Miss Lonsdale, who comes with a high reputation. The booking is exceptionally heavy, which augurs well for the success of the'concert? Reserved seats may be obtained at Mr W. Park's to-day at 2s 6d each./
