There will also be an election of a trustee and two directors for the Board of Management of the proposed Friendly Societies dispensary. Refreshments will be provided at the conclusion oi business. Messrs L. G. West and Son, architects, invite tenders for erection of brick garage. Mr Veel, P.O. box 238, Palmerston.' advertises that he is prepared to undertake construction of concrete foot-' paths, etc.

A NEW FIRM. BERT WEBB AND JACK BROWN. On page one to-day an opening announcement appears in reference to a new tailoring business. Messrs Webb and Brown, two well-known Palmerston hockey and football enthusiasts, have commenced business as ladies' and gentlemen 's tailors, at 18, Cuba Street. The new firm are carrying a large and fashionable stock of varied materials, and guarantee a perfect lit and satisfaction to all who entrust orders with them. Both young men, who have resided in Palmerston for many years, are well known as good tradesmen, and their many friends will wish them success in their new venture, and they ask that a trial be given them.
