jpOE WELLINGTON. S.S. QUEEN OF THE SOUTH. Leaves Foxton every TUESDAY, THURSDAY & SATURDAY. (Circumstances permitting.) For freight «.nd passage apply to LEVIN 8\ CO., LTD., Foxtcn. MELLSOP ELIOTT & CO., Ptlnierston N. Agents. A MAGNIFICENT TRIBUTE TO THE ''TRIUMPH.'' Perhaps the finest tribute that has ever been paid to the speed qualities, reliability and consistency of the "Triumph" motor cycle was that paid by the handicapper for the North Canterbury Motor Cyclists' Club in adjusting the handicaps for last Saturday's 100 mile beach rase. There were machines of more than twice the horse power of the "Triumph" in the race, but the handicapper allowed the "Triumphs" only two to six minutes' start of these machines! The "Triumphs" did not win under this handicapping. They would have had to beat their own record pretty handsomely to do it. But they did do this: They put up the best team performance of any make of motor cycle in the race, and they made first, second and third fastest time for singlecylinder machines. It may be mentioned that only four "Triumphs" started. The "Triumphs" which finished averaged 50 miles an hour, which was not bad going for a type of motor cycle primarily designed for economy in cost, and demonstrated "the truth of' our claim for the "Triumph" that it is the most reliable and consistent motor cycle in the world. The phenomenally heavy sale of the new 4 h.p. three-speed Triumphs continues, and intending purchasers should hurry up if they wish to secure immediate delivery. There is another big shipment on the way, but at the present rate of sale most of these will be ordered before arrival. Adams, Ltd., Agents for "Triumph" Motor Cycles. (C. J.
