Professor Schiemann, confidential adviser to the Kaiser, writing to the Kreuz Zeitung. pleads for a definite official utterance as to whether it is true that an Auglo-Franco-Russian naval convention exists concerning both the Mediterranean and the Baltic., BERLIN, May 28. Since the Moroccan crisis there has been a perpetual discussion on the possibility of making systematic economic preparations for war. A meeting of ihe permanent committee which advises the Government on commercial subjects discussed the question under the presidency of the Minister for the Interior, and decided that the committee would take charge of the problem. ROME, May 28. Xalanora, Chamber Prefect for Naples, has been removed from his post as a result of the Austro-Itulian brawls early in the month. He failed to carry out the Government s instructions.
