Palmer's racing stock was offered at auction to-day at Washdyke. The sales were:—The steeplechaser The Brewer, 255gns, to James Smith, of Dunedin; and John Bunyan, 95gns, to H. Elworthy. Martel was passed in at lOOgns, but a sale is pending at a price beyond that. There was poor demand for hacks, the highest price being 33gns.
