Senator Millen, Defence Minister, states that the Commonwealth Government readily adopted the Imperial authoritiets' suggestion to permit Imperial warships on the New Zealand station to participate in the annual battle practice with the Australian navy towards the end of tgie year. He added that the Australian navy was essentially an Imperial fleet, and was ready to co-operate with other Imperial forces both in peace and war. Although the Cabinet has not "yet considered the New Zealand Government 's request for Australian warships visit to the Dominion, Senator Millen anticipates that the Ministry will endorse the proposal.
