WHAT IS HEAVEN?
By Electric Telegragh—Press Association.—Copyright. LONDON, May 22.
The Very Rev. Dr. Inge, Dean of St. Paul's, in a sermon at St. Paul's Cathedral, said that many uneducated people supposed that the Church taught that Heaven -was a literal place, where God and His angels lived. So many clergy were perplexed themselves. They said as little as possible about Heaven as they docently could. The time had passed when people were best taught by gaudy-coloured dogmatic picture books; they would rather the clergy said they didn't know than have crude symbols given them as literal facts.
