The cricket match, Australia v. Manawatu, resulted in a profit to Manawatu Asociation of about £3. The biggest item of expenditure was £3 motor car hire. The cars which were promised by Mr Ongley to take the visitors over the district did not arrive next morning, and rather than disappoint the Australians, the local Association hired the cars to take them for the trip including the run to Feilding. Manawatu representative cricket team will play Wellington on Good Friday and Easter Saturday on the Sportsground. Next Saturday the loeal High School boys play Dannevirke High School and the local Railway team meet the Wellington Railway team on the Sportsground. The selectors are asked to pick the representative team by Saturday next. The following will represent Phoenix Cricket Club in a match against Raumai this afternoon at the Sportsground, commencing at 1 o'clock:— Burgess, Kerslake, Gestro, Waterhouse, McLaughlin, Knaggs, Wat«horn, Wakelin, Tottman, and Mansfield.
