JUDGMENT VARIED. GISBORNE, to-day. Judge Cooper, in deciding the appeal of Corry and Company, Blenheim, v. H. S. Liddell, Gisborne, in respect of a contract to supply chaff, varied the Magistrate's judgment by reducing the amount awarded for damages from £l4O to £66. SHEEP STEALING. GISBORNE, to-day. Thomas Sidney Townsend pleaded gpilty to sheep-stealing at Motu, and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
