Wilson, alias John Henry Hurley, alias Bruoe, alias AnnersOi., alias Walsh was o arged that on July 28, at Palmerston, he did forge a cheque for £6 7s drawn on the Bank of New Zealand, ville, purporting to be signed by S. Bolt n, and did utter the same to H*nry Baker Further, that on July 27, at Bulls, he did forge a oheque for £5 10s, drawn on the Bank of New Zealand at Marton, purporting to be signed by J. Harris, an l uttered the same to Ohas Erf win Hosking. 3as. Sore, grocer's assistant, residing at Woo ville, salt about July 22 last the acoused oame into his shop and obtained a blank cheque He said te wanted to pay the man next door some money. He looked at some sprey pumps and sail he would be wanting one in a day or two. He gave the blank cheque and reoeived a penny in payment for it.
