Mr H. L. Young's son, Basil, successfully uuderwent an operation at th« beginning of the week. Mr Alf. Fraser, after 14 years' service, has resigned the position of Town Clerk to the Foxton Borougk Council.

Major General Godley will return t* Wellington from the South early this morning, and will leave for the Oriugi Camp by the 9.10 a.m. train the sain# day. Mr and Mrs Noel Barraud and Mist Anson Barraud will leave Wellington for London by the s.s. Rotorua on ltt May, and will be abroad for some years.
