YOUTH OVERBOARD. (Fro*# Association.— 8.7 Telegraph. Auckland, April 21. Frauk Patterson, aged 17, employed on Uio Harbour Board launch, acrul.'utally fell overboard and was drowned. FOR HIS WIFE'S SAKE. Auckland. April 20. A storekeeper of Onehunga, named William Neira Chase, committed suicide yesterday by taking lysol. Upon going to a shed in the back yard was horrified to find her husband staggering about. Noticing a strong smell of lysol, she said: "Surely you have not 'poisoned yourself?" Mr Chase replied: "I did it for your sake. lam done." He died almost immediately. ANOTHER LYSOL VICTIM. "J.M." Auckland, April 21. A middle aged man, name unknown, whose initial letters are believed to be "J.M," committed suicide yesterday. His body was found at the rear of a building, with a lysol bottle and glass containing a quantity of lysol beside him. KILLED BY TRAM CAR. Wellington, April 2L At the inquest on the seaman, Dillon, who was killed by a trainear, u verdict of accidental death was returned.
