I BEG to announce that I will be a candidate for election as a representative for Manawatu on the above Board. M- A. ELIOTT. HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS. To the Electors of the Wellington Harbour Board District. • AND GENTLEMEN,— I am a candidate for re election as one of the Manawatu Representatives on the Wellington Harbour Board. I have been a member of the Board for the past two years; during that time I have been regular in my attendance at its meetings), and have , endeavoured to discharge the duties pretaining to the position of member, to the best of my abilities, especially with regard to the interests of this district. My long and extensive business experience should make my services on the Board of some value to the district. The fact that I am personally largely interested in sheep farming should satisfy Country Electors that this most important^ndustry, which in the past has nad no direct representative on the Board, will receive careful attention at my hands, should I be again returned. As the Electoral District is very extensive, extending from Waikanae in the South to the Rangitikei river in the North, it seems a fair arrangement that one member should be resident in the southern end, and the other in the northern. Consequently I feel confident that the generous support which I received two years ago from Palmerston North, Levin, Foxton, and other southern centres will be accorded me upon this occasion, g Should you again honoui me with your confidence, I will endeavour to discharge my duties as your representative, as I have done during the past two years. I am, Ladies and Gentlemen, Your Obedient Servant, JOHN G. COBBE. Feilding. NOTICE. GILCHRIST & KIDD beg to notify that they have removed to No 14, Cuba Street. FISH OH!!
