IF MR BUICK SHOULD RETIRE Speaking at the social last evning Mr Massey said he had noted the special pride with which the Palmerston people regarded their educational institutions, and he wai glad to see present that night th* chairman of the most progressive Education Board iu New Zealand — the VVanganui Bonrd. (Applause.) Mr Fred. Pirani, ho believed, w T as not unknown in Palmerston. The Premier also spoke eulogistically of Palmerston's Mayor, Mr J. A. Nash, and commented on the pride which Mr Nash took in the development of this town. When it became Mr Buick's turn to retir* from politics he was sure it would afford the town great plea aire to welcome Mr Nasli as us member. (Loud applause.)
