HIDE AND SKIN SALE. Dalgety and Company, Limited, reported:—At our monthly sale yesterday we ottered a good catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Wool and sheepskins sold at prices equal to last sale's rates, while hides showed a decline of ifrl to \d in sympathy with other markets. Quotations: — Wool: Our catalogue consisted of hack-country wool of a seedy i; id inferior character. Crossbred medium, 9d to fine, lOd; coarse and inferior, 7\d to 8 3 lambs, fair to good, 9J£d to 9%d; inferior and seedy, from 7d to Bj^d; dead, to 9d; inferior, 7d" to 7 :! (d; pieces and bellies, to 6%d; locks and pieces, s)£d to dy 4 d; locks and pieces, to G^d; locks, 5(1 to 5? 4 d; inferior and dirty, 4d to 4 l 4 d; black wool, T^d. These sold at extreme rates under keen competition, more especially for well-salted lines.
