Mr T. Hodder (chairman) told the College Street School Committer last night that he approved of sending a party of the school childrea down to see the battleship in WelHe did not know, however, what view the headmaster would take on the matter. He undertook to consult Mr Low dnring this week. Mr S. Sanson asked whether th« children were to be conveyed on tht railway free. The Chairman said he presumed so, judging from the Railway Department's letter, but it was uncertain.
Mr Carviile: Who will be eligible to go.
The Chairman: The scholars, teachers »nd committee members. Mr Carviile said there seemed no likelihood of the warship coming to Wanganui.
It was finally left to the Chairinaa and headmaster to make all arrangements.
