BOROUGH OF PALMERSTON NORTH. POLL ON A PROPOSAL. "TVUBLIC Notice is hereby given that a poll will be held under " The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908," on Thursday, the 20th day of March, 1913, when the proposal hereunder mentioned will be submitted to the vote of the electors entitled to vote thereon. The proposal is that the Palmerston North Borough Council be empowered to apply to the Governor-in-Council for an authorising order under che Tramways Act, 1908, to construct an Electric Tramway on the overhead trolley system according to plans, longitudinal sections and cross sections showing the nature of the works proposed to be undertaken, the description thereof and the draft Order-in-Council proposed to be submitted to the Governor for approval which have been deposited and have remained open for inspection at the Borough office, The Square, Palmerston North during office hours during the four weeks from the 3rd day of February, 1913, to the 3rd day of March 1913. The Poll will commence at 9 o'clock in the forenoon of the day appointed as aforesaid, and will close at 7 o'clock in the afternoon of the same day. The following is the situation of the Polling Booths : The Room known as the Supper Room in the Municipal Opera House, Church Street, Palmer" ston North.
