FALL OF STONE AND CLAY.
SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED,

A fall of stone and papa clay from a cliff on Kaiti beach caused severe injuries to a lady and two girls passing along the beach. Hilda Single, aged 14, received fearful injuries; the flesh of the right leg was badly torn and the bone fractured. Ellen Rowe, aged 8, was completely buried in the debris and badly knocked out. Mrs Law, an elderly lady, sustained a severe shock and a sprained ankle. Two others of the party escaped. Later.
Hilda Single, the little girl who was crushed in a landslide at Kaiti yesterday, died this evening. The other girls are progressing farvourably.
