FEUDING AND DISTRICT NOTES.

(Our own Representative). A PRESENTATION. Yesterday afternoon a pleasing ceremony took place at the Borough Council Chambers, when Miss Gosling, the retiring librarian, was the recipient of a travelling case from the library subscribers and a travelling rug subscribed by Councillors and Council staff. The presentations I were made by the Mayor (Mr E. | Goodbehere), who congratulated Miss Gosling on the admirable manner in which she had discharged her duties during her 15 years' occupancy of the office, and also wished her happiness on entering the married state. Miss Gosling suitably replied. WORRIED DROVERS. Drovers of stock complain of the approaches to Aorangi bridge. Fences in the vicinity are not as secure as they might be, and the gates protecting the road leading to the river bed are very often left open. Yesterday a drover just finishing a long journey with a big mob of sheep had die doubtful satisfaction of seeing a number of his flock take the roadway to the river and getting through fences on to adjoining property. He was fortunate, however, on having the assistance of some passing ladies and gentlemen in getting his flock together again and over the bridge. THE RUSH BENEFIT.

The collection taken up by the Fire Brigade when Feilding Band gave a concert in the Square on Saturday evening, totalled £5. The takings at the sacred concert on Sunday evening were £23, a total of £2B.
