The Broderick inquest has concluded. A verdict of justifiable homicide was returned.
DYING FATHER EXCULPATES SON.
Sydney, Yesterday,
At the inquest on Broderick, the widow' state dthat deceased was drinking heavily and assaulted her and her daughter and threatened to shoot them. Broderick'got a rifle and two guns and loaded them, saying lie would shoot the police, who were sent for. The son snatched the weapons and ran away. Broderick pursued him, when suddenly there was a flash and Broderick fell; His son threw himself on his father and asked his forgiveness. Broderick replied: "I forgive you; it was not your fault."
