. A REMARKABLY PINE FILM. Everything was on a big soale at the Zealandia Hall last night. The audience was an overflowing one and ■ some were disappointed at having to postpone seeing Hay ward's latest ! aud greatest trump card'' The Circus Girl." It is truly a magiiticent production in which the Ghotography i is practically perfect. It is splendidly staged throughout and the caste is evidently a very strong one. Madame Asts Neilson in the name part gives a most finished and altogether charming interpretation. She is undoubtfidly possefsed of great magnetic power and one feels no surprise to learn that she is the idol of Parisian and Berlin audienoes. TII9 story is one of lovo, temptation and sacrifice and its nnfolding grips spectators with rare intensity. Space will not permit giving it in detail. It is, however, a perfectly safe thing to anticipate that Palmerston will heartily endorse the verdict of the Metropolitan towns, where all picture records were, we are informed, broken by this superlatively fine society drama. There will only be two mora presentations of same locally, to-night and to-morrow night. It is a "classic" which no one should miss seeing. The firing of the heavv artillery is preceded by tho discharge of some smaller, but nevertheless effective guns. There are two capital dramatics, one a Selig and the other an Edison. A very picturesque scenic from Switzerland, : an interesting industrial of nitrate of soda, and a brace of irresistibly 1 amusing comedhs, completes on<j of 1 the best of value entertoinments pic- ] torialiy Palmerston has ever had. r The plant worked-without a hitch of any kind and the picture was brilliant,
