ARGENTINE EXPORTS. TO UNITED KINGDOM. By Telegraph— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, Tlie Department of Oommeroe has received the following cable from Buenos Aires, datgrl ,7th November: —The following shipments of produce ware despatohod from the Argeiitiue to the United Kingdom ports during Ootober, 1911 (compared with October, 1910): 1911, frozen beef, quarters 125,000, 1910, 95,766 chilled beef, quarters 189,000, 183,771; frozen mutton, carcass 184,000,60,878 frozen lamb, oarcases 40.000, 19,116; butter, cwts 1840, nil. DALGETIf AND CO., LTD. ° The local branoh' of Dalgety and 00., LM., have received the following cable messaee from the head office, London ;-We purpose declaring a dividend of 4s per share, being at the rate of 8 per ceut per annum, and inakiug with the interim dividend Blrf aily declared and paid 8 per cent, for the twelve months ended 80tn June. The annual meeting of shareholder of the company takrs place on 16th November next. Have writtsu off from profits £60,000 to cre'iit of resaive fund, which now stands at £40,000. Have also written off from profits £IO,OOO to staff benevolent fnud, which now stands at £41,000. Have written off freehold premises £40,000.
