ANNUAL REPORT

The annual meeting of the Mana- 1 watn Amateur Athletio Olub will be held in the Opera House supper room to-morrow evening at 8 o'clock, All membeis and intending members are requested to attend. The annual report to be presented to the meeting states that tbe Olob lias an active membership of 25. The committee deplores the lack of intent in tiie anuual sports meeting by the general pnblic, and though the meeting Irom an athletic view point was very successful the attendance was shocking, and tbe Olub is to be congratulated on ooming through the season without a loss. During the season members ooinpeted at Marton, Wangauni, Mastarton, Woodville, Knmeroa, D«unevirke, LeviD and Maurioeville. D. Park won the season's points prize and the following also distinguished themselves Measrs Keddell, Hay, Moxon, Palliser, Walkley, Stasjpoole, Waters, Henry and Johnston. The balanoesheet shows a credit balance on the > year's expenses of £5 3s 9d v whioh, with credit in hand, makes a total reoeipt of £37 2s 2d. The report regrets the loss of the service of Messrs W. L, Dixon, G. V. E>ddeil, 0. Hay and W. S. Primose, all having Jeffc the district, and expresses appreciation of the work of the delegates, Messrs B. A. Guise and J. H. Pollock. The thanks of the Olnb are due to all donors, two lccal papers for assistance and consideration, and various officers and officials of the Olnb.
