Advicis from Hanfean s*at9 that the rebels belitaded the commander of Friday's battle, suspecting treachery. Other officers snifered the s,ime fate. The throne Lias ordered Yuaii-shih-kai to return to .the Assembly, and teilegraphed Li-ymn-Mng _ urging suspension of hostilities pending negotiations.
Yuam-shih-kaii has sent his four sons to the London Missionary Sweety's Calilege at Tientsin. Li-yuan-hung has agreed to negotiate with the Imperialists.
