LONDON DECORATED AND ILLUMINATED. (Press Association.—By Telegraph.Copyright). London, Yesterday. The decorations and illuminations in preparation for the Coronation arcbeing completed. Many bank and insurance companies and clubs are spending £SOO each. The Westminster City Council is spending £IO,OOO in the decoration of. Whitehall, including transplantng of the electric standard in order not to obstruct the procession. Whitehall is 'being decorated by columns 35 feet high, surmounted by white lions carrying a portcullis and griffins and winged victories carrying shields of British Kings. Near the New Zealand arch the province of Ontario has erected handsome pylons ,sliowing a farmer shearing sheep and the word "Prosperity" with the horn of plenty.'Fleet street is decorated with wreathed masts, carrying festoons of evergreens with alternate lions and unicorns. The newspaper offices in particular have elaborate decorations and illuminations. St. Paul's Churchyard is decorated with shields, banners of patron Saints of the United Kingdom, and the city. Huge flower bells are hung in Cheapsidc, recalling Bow Bells. Tlie Bank of England is outlining its columns and roof on architectural lines, with 5000 lamps. Tho Mansion House is similarly outlined with ambergreen lights. Mansiqn House Square is decorated, its Corinthian columns hearing griffins. The business houses of the city arc decorated with crystal crowns and the Royal monographs, some costing £2OO each; . Special services will be held at All Saiuts and St. Patrick's ohurches, and also at St Mary's, Asbhni'ft At 10.30 vet'rans, members of Friendly Societies, Territorials, Cadets and Roy SooutS' will parade at Coleman Place, and at 11 o'olook, headed bv tbe two bands, will march to the band rotunda, where the sohool children will be marsball o d and artdrpsses will be delivered by thn Mayor (Mr ,T. A. Nash), Mr D. . Boiok, M.P., Oapbin Havdon (president of the Chamber nf Commerce), tho vicar, Rev, H. G. Rosher, M.A., and Rev. D. Hirl, M.A. Should the weathpr be unfavourable the celebrations will tike plaoe at the Opera House. In the evening, weather permitting, bonfires will be lit in the Square at ; 6.30, to be followed bv a display of fireworks, and the celebrations will culminate with tho patri»tio demonstration under the nusnices of the Ovfrse?s' Club and th« Navy Leagnn at the Opira House.
