FEILDING NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent). A gift of £250 has been donated towaros the improvement if the Victoria Park and recently the Beautifying Society was the recipient of a gift for tliq Coronation Avenue and improvements to tho South street reserve. This will bo substantial encouragement to the Beautifying Society which in the ordinary way is an aotive body. No doubt the near future w ; ll see cou. siderable improvement to our town and reserves.

The Coronation ceremonies in Feilding will consist of a representative prooeasion of military, publio bodies, Friendly Societies, Boy Scents, oadefcs, etc. A united religions ceremony in the town square and afterwards school children will be eutsrtaiaed at a free picture entertainment and have small presents of lollies, etc, made t lift pi. The marshals appointed, viz, Captain Barltt'op and Mr Q. J. The fina |lgure,s for this district for the enrolment cf Territorials show a total 0f.79? men, made np aB follows between the ases of 14 and 18 years, 441 between 18 and 21, of this number 183 men own horses. There is very lithe doubt that there are some shirkers in the district, in such cases proceedings and compulsory enrolmeut will follow. •
