ISITT v. STEWART.
A SETTLEMENT. (Presi Association). Ohristchuroh, Last Night, A ssttleinont has been arrived at in the libel action h, M. Isitt versus J. M. Stewart as follows-:—The jary awarded £SOO damages subject to the decision of His Honor on questions of law raisad at the trial. The tiefenoe pleaded that the publication of Rev. Isitt'B name on the trade list was a privileged one and that irembers of the Association ware entitled ' to acquaint one another with the names of parsons who were entered la the list and oiroulatad amongst its members The Judge reserved his decision ou the quetion of privilege and no damagts would havo had to be paid by the defendant to plaintiff until the Judge had delivered his deoision on that point in the plaintiff's favour. In the meantime the member of the Association who gave Rev. Is'tt's name for insertion in the trade list arranged with Rev. hitt to pay him £lO and both his and de« feudant's costs in consideration of plaintiff abandoning any verdict Whioh he might obtain agaicst Stewarc, also refraining from tibing any proceedings against the .member.
