HAYWARD'S NEW PROGRAMME.
STRONG FILMS FOR SHOW WEEK. Show week visitors will find themselves well oatered for at the Zealandia Hall where the Hayward management has pnt on an excellent programme till Wednesday when there will be anotlnr complete ohange. In the first part the "stat" dramatioa are "The Girl of the Mountains." by the Vitagiaph Oompauy, and "Judged by a Higher fower," by the Champion Film Company, while the "Italian Alpine Army manoeuvring in the Alps, and two oomio fllmß "Domestic Rivals" and "Two Sides 'to a Sfory" are other notable features of this part whioh set everybody laughing. The Alpine film is very remarkable and shows what the countries bordering onjthe Alps have to do to keep their frontiers Bate. A company of infantry is seen olimbiug steep mountains in deep snow, skf-iug, shoot-' ing, transporting mountain gnnß, and camping on the snow and ice. It is a vrey fine scenic aB well as an " mstrnotive military film. "Jodged by a Higher Power" is a remarkable dramatio film j n whioh a girl envies her' Bister's engagement to the' man they both love. A lady friend of the favoured sister misses a jewel and 1 despatches the sistar's fiance to' ' searoii lor it, He finds the jewel in ' iiis tothed's hat it raving bean 1 put there by sitter. The result ifi the breahiug of the engagement, aud the .denouement is dramatic* ally brought about. In the second pait "A Warrior's Faith" is one/of J the stirring Indian and tramps of which the Hayward. iua'n..
