A letter re-, ceived in reply to an advertisement (or a junior reporter was' quoted as an example of youthful pertneßs and, self-confidence, but the point of its extreme brevity and assurance was ;' lost through a portion of another paragraph being mixed with it. What should have,appeared'was(jhiß:- , v Dear Sir, ' 1 - Re your adv. junior reporter? What is your figure?" ■ .< ' Yours, eto,, . , Only that and nothing more! *■* ■ * # Having recently edited some fashion gossip, 1 felt inolined to refily in one word "DireotolM," but restrained myself,,and wrote instead "Whatare you worth?"
