MANAWATU RAGING OLUB. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. vTheoommitttee of the Manawatu Raoing Olub met last evening, Mr D. Wood and Dr. 'Wilfion. ,v ' Owing to the small attendance, it was resolved to hold a special meet* ing on Tuesday, the 6th instant, to cousider applications for raoing dates and also to oonsider the advisability of altering the date ol the monthly meeting. The aotion of the ground committee in granting the Polo Olub the use of the raoeobnrse was endorsed.

The Bangitikei Raoing Olub wrote notifying the nomination of Mr Donald Fraser as a representative on the Metropolitan Committee. The committee recommended the granting of a trainer's license to A. E, Neale,

TheN.Z. L. and M.A. Coy., Ltd., of Auokland, requested a large number of transfers in the'olassio raoes whioh were granted.

APPEAL OOURT DECISIONS.

The Appeal Oonrt'of New Zealand Raoing Oonfeienoe gave its opinion in several oases to-day. The endorsement by the Anokland Metropolitan Committee of the Avofidale Jockey Club's disqualification of George Pell (12 months) and Albert Whlttaker (two years) in conneotion of the riding of Lnoio at the Avondale meeting last September is upheld. The Appeal Committee, howevor, considers the sentences should be eqnal, therefore eaoh is disqualified for 12 months from December 16th, 1908. The deposits of Pell*and Whittaker are refunded, The Anokland Raoing Olub Is supported in its refusal to disqualify Royal Sonlt for the Railway I{andi., oap, the appeal being considered frivolous. The Appeal Committee orders the deposit to be forfeited. The judges adjourned the hearing of the appeal by 5.., G. Liri'dsay and Mark Ryan against the derision pf, the Anokland Metropolitan Committee in endorsing the Avondale Club's disqualification of appellants and Royal Soult in oonneotion with the running of that horse at Avondale in September without indicating opiuibn. Howeve& the Appeal Committee directs the disqualification of Ryan to be suspended until the final hearing.
