The Appeal Court opened this morning, bnt no cases were heaid. Judges Denniston, Edwards, and Cooper were present, bat Mr Justice Williams is detained in Dunedin by a compensation base, and' the Court intimated that the more important suits will be postponed till his arrival.
On the motion of Mr Bourne, the oa6e Oook v. Attorney-General and Jnstioe Sim, a motion to quash the OliiDemuri Lioensing Commission on the ground that it was issued without jurisdiction, was gut down foi hearing. The Court adjourned till Wednesday, when two applications affecting no-lie«nso will be taken. Tljb oases Harriß v. Tucker, and Parker v. Greville, are then to follow in the ordor named.
