(Press Association—By Telegraph,— Copyriglit). Melbourne, Last Night. The weather for the second day of the V.R.O. Meeting was even better than that of the opening day. Tlit attendance, however, was poor. Results :- Hopeful Stakos—Brasseor 1, Glasgow 2, Lord Derby 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.%. All Aged Stakes-Parsee 1, Soultline 2, Virtue 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.41& Autumn Handicap.—Mushka 1, Cherry Lass 2, Somnambulist 3. Won by two lengths. Time, 2.50^. Nursery Handicap.—Luore 1, Simmerettfi 2, Patronatus 3. Six others started. Time, 1.15^. Led) Plate.-Trafalgar 1, Plavel 2, Leifch 3. Also ran: Demolition, I'Trentmoon, Monobel, Golden Gate. Trentmoou led past tho staud and out of the course from Monobel, Five Crown, Leith, Trafalgar and Flavel. Leith noxt took command and Five Crown raced into second position from Golden Gate. The latter made a forward movo at the half-mile post and displaced Five Crown. Leith led into the straight from Golden Gate, who was displaced by Trafalgar at tho distance. Trafalgar then forged ahead and won by two lengths, one and threequarter lengths botweon second and third. Trontmoon was fourth and Monobel last. Time, 8.83& River Handicap.-True Soot 1, Doughty 2, Boastful 3. Eleven starters. Won by three-quarters of a length, a length between second and third. Tmo, 3,9.
