ENTERTAINMENTS.

ORCHESTRAL CONCERT. TO-NIGHT. A full rehearsal of the orchestral numbers for to-night's concert was held at the Opera House last evening. Each number went excellently, and there is muoh promise that the concert will reach the high-water mark of the Society's endeavours The harp concerto was rehearsed with the solo instrument for the first time, and Mrs Johnstone was load in her praises of the excellent support given her by the orchestra. The novelty of this combination will, we aie sure, be acceptable to those who attend this evening's concert. Altogether the musical public may iook forward to a genuine treat. All those who have not yet secured their seats will do well to book them early as the box plan presents the elements of a bumper house. We are asked to again remind those who propose attending that it is fitting and courteous that they are seated by five minutes to eight, so as to receive his Excellency the Governor and party, who have signified their intention of being present. .
